5.26 Highgrove Wedding

We've been super busy this May and are enjoying a fabulous wedding season this Spring! I was out of town last week, so I was unable to get any pictures from our three weddings last weekend, but I did capture some images from one of our three events this holiday weekend. Courtney and Dustin exchanged their vows overlooking the lake this past Saturday-- the day was hot, but sunny and dry! Their friends and family then moved up to our brick patio to enjoy cocktails and hors' d oeruves, including Pork Sliders with Cole Slaw and Cheddar Biscuits with Ham and Honey Mustard. The reception was held in our garden ballroom and dinner featured our Garden Salad, Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Garlic Roasted Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, and Beef Brisket. After dinner guests enjoyed a champagne toast before the cake was served and then enjoyed dancing the night away. One of the pictures shows the "guest book" which was a painting of a tree that guests added their finger print "leaf prints" to-- what a creative idea! The table setting shows the favors for all the guests provided by the bride and groom-- homemade jam, yum! 5.12 Highgrove Wedding

This weekend we were busy with two weddings, but I just captured the images from one. Thankfully the weather was gorgeous both days as we held two beautiful weddings for two wonderful couples. Lauren and Tyler were married on Saturday under our outdoor pergola. They exchanged their vows in front of 140 friends and family, where the bride looked amazing in her lace covered gown! The guests then headed up to our brick patio where they enjoyed Cheddar and Ham Biscuits and also our Fresh Fruit Cosmos for cocktail hour. Everyone moved into the ballroom for the reception, where the theme of light blue and white was seen in the linens and flowers. Dinner was buffet style and began with our plated Caesar Salad followed by our Beef Brisket, Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Green Beans Almodine, and Garlic Roasted Mashed Potatoes. Coffee and cake were served after dinner as the guests had fun moving on the dance floor to a wide array of music. A sweet beginning for a sweet couple! Highgrove 5.5 Wedding

The skies opened wide right over us this past Saturday... but the rains could not keep the celebration from happening for Kyla and Nick! The ceremony had to be moved into the ballroom, but thankfully, this couple had gone all out with fresh flowers and candles, so the backdrop for their marriage was breathtaking. They included a few special traditions in their ceremony including a lasso ceremony and a coin blessing, both important to the bride's family heritage. Cocktails were passed in the ballroom, as guests enjoyed Pork Barbecue Sliders, Crab Cakes, and Fresh Fruit Cosmos-- along with Margaritas in honor of Cinco Da Mayo. Dinner was served and included our Caesar Salads, and then a buffet including our Beef Brisket, Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Seasonal Vegetables, and Roasted New Potatoes. After the champagne toast, cake was served and then the entire party moved to the dance floor as this lively group thoroughly enjoyed dancing the rest of the night away. It all ended with a sparkler departure on the front porch. It was a fabulous event from start to end! Highgrove 5.4 Wedding

It was a sweet and intimate affair this past Friday night as Berenice and Kevin celebrated their marriage with close friends and family. We were so thankful that the storm clouds passed right over us, allowing the couple to be married under the outdoor pergola. One of the bridesmaids sang two special songs during the exchanging of vows and everyone enjoyed the handheld wood fans that the bride provided to fan off some the sun's rays. Cocktail hour was up on the outdoor patio, where Pork Sliders were passed along with Fresh Fruit Cosmos and Crab Cakes with Aioli Sauce. The reception was held in the ballroom, where dinner featured our Caesar Salad along with a buffet of Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Salmon in Dill Sauce, Rice Pilaf, and Seasonal Vegetables. Wedding cake was served for dessert as the guests enjoyed dancing and mingling until the sparkler send off at the end of the night. Highgrove 4.28 Wedding

What an amazing wedding we had this past Saturday.. for the sweetest family! Shannon and William celebrated their special day along with 120 of their closest friends and family from NC and all over the US (even a few friends from England). They exchanged their vows under the beautifully decorated pergola in a personalized ceremony, entering in to a quartet and walking out to a fun tune on the banjo and fiddle. Cocktail hour featured our homemade Cheddar Biscuits with Honey Ham, Crab Cakes with Aioli Sauce, and Fried Green Tomatoes on Crostini. Guests were then invited into the fabulous ballroom that was adorned with a breathtaking display of yellow, white, and green florals and lit up with over 200 candles. After a served Caesar Salad, guests enjoyed a buffet of our Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Beef Tenderloin, Garlic Roasted Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans Almondine. Following dinner, a groom's cake and wedding cake were served, along with a special Chocolate Covered Coffee Bean display that the bride and groom served their guests as a parting favor. Highgrove 4.22 Event

Our other event this weekend was a beautiful affair... even though the weather was not so beautiful. Our Sunday event featured a display of all of our new specialty tables at Highgrove. Our Cookies and Cork table is a gorgeous display of all homemade savory and sweet cookies that are paired with specialty wines- this is popular for a welcome table before the wedding ceremony begins or as an after dinner treat. Our Cookies and Milk table features shot glasses of cold milk served with warm homemade chocolate chip cookies. Our S'Mores table is such a fun after dinner treat for guests and comes complete with all the fixings, including wooden sticks, tin dishes, and a fire pit. Our other new table is our Sno Cone display where guests can enjoy "adult" sno cones with flavors including Cosmo, Lemon Drop, and Margarita. We also showcased our Crepes Station, our Carving Station, our Pastry Table with all homemade desserts like French Macaroons, Whoppie Pies, and Tartlets. It was such a wonderful evening and a glorious display of our best! Highgrove 4.21.12

This past Saturday we had a fabulous wedding for a sweet couple who knew how to throw a party! Our couple exchanged their vows underneath the pergola overlooking the lake in front of 130 guests. The weather had been a concern all day, but the skies were clear for the 5:30 ceremony and what a beautiful day it turned out to be. Guests were then invited up to the upper patio for cocktail hour where they were treated to specialty signature drinks and delicious passed appetizers including Bacon Wrapped Potato Cups with Cream Fresh and Cavier, Coconut Shrimp, and Fresh Fruit Cosmos. The party then moved into the ballroom, were family style dinner was served. The menu included Medditeranean Salad and Spring Green Salad, Garlic Roasted Mashed Potatoes with Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Salmon with Tropical Salsa, and Seasonal Fresh Vegetables. After the cake cutting we were thrilled to open two specialty tables for the party. Our Cookies and Cork table featured all homemade savory and sweet cookies paired with different wines- guests were raving about this unexpected table! Our other fun treat was our S'Mores table with all the toppings and a fire pit for guests to roast their own marshmallows. It was a perfect wedding from start to finish!
