I wanted to share a recent letter written to us from a bride whose wedding was at Highgrove. In her words at the bottom of her letter, "If you would like to post this on your website or whatever, please feel free to do so. I just couldn't figure out how to do it. Remember, I'm old and not very computer literate." She cracks me up! Thanks Ann for the letter- it was a pleasure making your wedding day the day of your dreams!
I had my dream wedding at Highgrove. The entire staff was superb. My wedding coordinator was professional, yet friendly. She guided me through all the decisions I had to make in order for the dream to come true. All I had to say was, "Could we possibly?" and Highgrove made it happen.
The weather on the day of the wedding was terrible. Most of the afternoon consisted of horrendous rolling thunderstorms interspaced with muggy, watery blue skies. Fuquay even had a tornado that afternoon. The staff kept abreast of all the weather news, and jumped when I made the decision to move the ceremony indoors. The head table had already been set up, complete with china, silverware, glassware, flowers, and candles. All of this disappeared so we could be married in front of the huge stone fireplace. And it all magically reappeared in time for dinner.
The tables were elegant. The food was outstanding. The wait staff were efficient, yet unobtrusive. The room was beautiful. When I stood at the entranceway to the ballroom, I felt like I was walking into a fairyland. The dinner and reception flowed smoothly with enough time between courses for us to meet and greet our guests.
All in all, I really can't think of anything that wasn't perfect. Although I planned each and every detail of my perfect wedding, it was Highgrove that made it all happen. You can't go wrong with them.
