May 25 Highgrove Wedding

Another picture perfect day for a wedding! It was a splendid affair for the celebration of Denise and Levi last Saturday at Highgrove. The ceremony was held under our garden pergola where 115 of the couples close friends and family looked on. Cocktail hour was held on our upper patio and included lots of delicious choices for guests to enjoy. Cuban Sandwiches with Rum and Coke were displayed on our rustic farm table outside, in addition, servers passed our Cheddar Cheese Buttermilk Biscuits with Ham and Honey Mustard, Crab Cakes with Aioli Sauce, and Shrimp, Shallot, and Parmesan Filled Mushrooms. The signature cocktail at the bar was our house made Red Sangria-- a big hit with the crowd! Dinner was served Family Style in the ballroom and included our Baby Green Salads with Toasted Almonds and Fresh Berries, Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Sliced Prime Rib, White Cheddar Grits, and Seasonal Vegetables. Following dinner the guests enjoyed a champagne toast and delicious wedding cake before heading out the patio for our S'Mores Station. A huge hit so far this summer, our station features homemade Plain and Peanut Butter Marshmallows along with all of the usual fixings. Complete with fire pit, wooden benches, and blankets-- it is the perfect treat for guests. Congratulations to the newlyweds! May 24 Highgrove Wedding

It was such amazingly beautiful weather for our 3 weddings last weekend-- we could hardly believe it was Memorial Day weekend! Our first wedding celebrated the marriage of Kelly and Josh as they shared in their special day with 70 of their friends and family. Cocktail hour included our delicious Fried Gulf Oysters with spicy Remoulade Sauce, our Sopresetta Paninis with Peach Bellinis, and our fabulous Braised Short Ribs over Wild Mushroom and Leek Risotto with White Truffle Oil-- delish! At the bar, the couple featured two signature drinks-- our Bourbon Lemonade with Fresh Mint (the perfect summer drink) and a Whiskey and Coke. The reception was held in the Garden Ballroom where guests dined on our Garden Salads, Chicken Frances with Light Lemon Cream Sauce, Sliced Prime Rib, Garlic Roasted Mashed Potatoes, and our Seasonal Vegetables-- all served Family Style. Cake and champagne followed dinner service and then as a special treat for their guests, the bride and groom featured our S'Mores Station on the outside patio. Complete with Homemade Plain and Peanut Butter Marshmallows and all the fixings-- the S'mores station is always a big hit with guests. We wish Kelly and Josh all the best in their new life together! May Highgrove Weddings

May 18- Congrats to Erika and Frank on their stunning wedding! The couple exchanged their vows in front of 135 of their close friends and family on a stormy afternoon. Thankfully the rain held off for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then cleared up again for after dinner s'mores on the patio. Guests enjoyed our Sopresetta Paninis with Peach Bellinis on the patio during cocktail hour along with Crab Cakes with Aioli Sauce and Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits with Ham and Honey Mustard. Also a fun part of the celebration were two signature drinks-- our Bourbon Lemonade with Fresh Mint and a Cranberry Kiss cocktail. The reception was held in our garden ballroom which was elegantly beautiful with colored uplighting and amazing flowers. Dinner was served family style and included our Garden Salads, Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Smoked Beef Brisket, Roasted New Potatoes, and Baby Carrots in Vanilla Bean Butter with Snow Peas. Champagne toasts and the cake cutting followed dinner service and the guests enjoyed dancing a while before the S'Mores station opened up on the side patio. Featuring our Homemade Plain and Peanut Butter Marshmallows along with Hershey's chocolate and Graham Crackers-- our S'Mores station is tons of fun! To complete the station we have a fire pit, wooden benches, blankets, and tin plates. Congrats to the bride and groom on a fabulous event! Highgrove May Weddings

We have been slammed with weddings this month... which is partly why the blog has not been updated as frequently as it should! Here are a few weddings to catch you up on all that has been happening!

May 17- It was a sweet affair for Adrianna and Andre, with beautiful flowers and lots of fun dancing! The couple exchanged their vows in front of an intimate group of close family and friends before heading up to the patio for cocktails. The menu featured our Beef Tenderloin with Horseradish on Crostini and our Crab Cakes with Aioli Sauce. Dinner was served Family Style on our Lazy Susans and included our Pecan Chicken with Bourbon Sauce, Salmon with Dill Sauce, Roasted New Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables. The best part of the night was watching the bride and groom perform their first dance together as husband and wife... a choreographed dance that was beautiful to watch as these two professional dancers did a great job! It was also great fun to watch as many of their guests (also dancers) took the floor throughout the night for fabulous dancing. Congrats to the newlyweds! May 4 Highgrove Wedding

Congrats to Christina and Robert on their fabulous wedding a few weekends ago. The decor was elegant rustic as the bride used lots of special touches to make the wedding charming and special. The ceremony was held at our Garden Pergola overlooking the lake where the florist hung sweet kissing balls of flowers. Following the ceremony, the cocktail hour on the patio featured our Beef Tenderloin on Crostini with Horseradish, Seared Tuna with Wasabi and Soy in Tins, Buttermilk Cheese Biscuits with Ham, and Fried Green Tomatoes with Homemade Pimento Cheese on Crostini. Dinner was served Family Style and included our Braised Short Ribs with Cheddar Grits, Salmon Poached in White Wine, Roasted New Potatoes, and Green Beans Almondine along with salads and Rosemary Bread. Following dinner, everyone took to the dance floor, taking a short break later on for cake, champagne and our famous Krispy Kreme Flambe Station with Homemade Maple Ice Cream and Pink Sea Salt-- delicious! It was a beautiful affair to start a very busy May! April Highgrove Wedding

A little behind in the postings.. but better late than never! We have been busy over the past few weeks and here is a quick recap of two of those weddings.

Cocktail Hour
Congrats to Corey and Peter on their marriage! The color scheme was grey and black and it was a lively event with everyone out on the dance floor! Following the ceremony, cocktail hour was held on the patio where guests enjoyed our Cheddar and Ham Honey Biscuits and Crab Cakes. Dinner was served Buffet style and included our Pecan Crusted Bourbon Chicken, Smoked Beef Brisket, Roasted Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Veggies alongside our Garden Salads and Rosemary Bread. One of the most touching moments of the night was the special Father/Daughter dance where the groom danced with his daughter... it was a wonderful night for a sweet couple!
